Hockey Fights Cancer on the 16th of February at the Ice Palace!

As part of the #SKAKindness project, SKA Hockey Club - together with Liga Stavok, the Bone Marrow Donation Development Centre and the Light for Children Foundation - will hold a campaign in Saint Petersburg to join the National Register of Bone Marrow Donors and help children with cancer.

The action is timed to coincide with World Cancer Day and International Day of Children with Cancer.

At the matches on February 3 and 16 at the Ice Palace, fans who wish to become potential bone marrow donors and who do not have health or weight restrictions will be able to join the Vasya Perevoshchikov National Bone Marrow Donor Registry. To do this, it will be necessary to take a sample of the buccal epithelium - a swab from the inside of the cheek, fill out donor questionnaires and other necessary documents at the counters of the Bone Marrow Donation Development Centre located in the lobby of the arena near sector 209.

In addition, everyone can donate toys through the employees and volunteers of the Centre for the Light for Children Foundation. The toys are collected into boxes which will then be sent to little patients in order to give them some joy.

Please note that only plastic cars, dolls, animals, simple constructors, stickers and anti-stress toys can be donated. Wooden, soft, breakable toys, products with sharp edges or many small parts do not need to be brought.

On February 16, SKA players and coaches will wear a special "Hockey Fights Cancer” patch on their jerseys and suits for the match against Sibir Novosibirsk and part of the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the games on the 3rd and 16th of February will be transferred to the Light for Children foundation.
