Jokerit - SKA. Match day

1 October 2015

SKA have taken to the road again, and will take on HC Jokerit Helsinki inside the Hartwall Arena in Finland.

This will already be the second meeting of these two teams during this KHL regular season, and the fourth taking into account pre-season games. SKA came out on top 5:3 twice during the summer, and kept that successful record going by defeating the Finns 6:3 in Saint Petersburg just last week. That really was a thrilling contest too, as despite coming back from behind twice Jokerit succumbed to five second period SKA markers. Indeed that defeat seems to have thrown Jokerit slightly, and they fell heavily to HC CSKA Moscow 2:5 to slip to second in the Western Conference. American Brandon Kozun is still their top scorer on 18 points (7+11), and goaltender Henrik Karlsson holds a 93.8% saves percentage.

Our team have also played one game since that fixture in Russia, and it wasn't a successful one as Dinamo Riga triumphed 4:1. That took everyone by surprise a little, and it does mean that SKA have fallen to seventh in the conference. Anton Burdasov continues to have more points than anyone else with 17 (8+9).

The Jokerit - SKA match will begin at 18.30 local time in Helsinki, Finland. 100 TV and KHL TV will both broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
