Ilya Kovalchuk: "We need points to turn the situation around"

- The score is satisfactory, but are you pleased with the performance?
- We pleased reasonably well. We had a lot of chances, and the goaltender performed at a good level. Yugra showed why they are high in their conference. We don't care who we play against though, we need points to turn this situation around.
- Everyone remembers your killer shots when taking up a pass from behind the net. Why are we not seeing that this year?
- I'm playing on the opposite flank this season. We have only one right handed forward, and because of this we play in a different system. However, Nikita Gusev's arrival will change this. Hopefully my shots will fly into the net.
- While playing with New Jersey, you climbed up from the bottom of the table to make the playoffs. Will the same thing happen this year?
- When you get a new coach, when new players arrive and when a number of chances occur it's always hard. Nevertheless this is making us stronger, and it makes hockey interesting. It's boring when everything goes well all the time, you need to through tough times too.
- Does the team feel good emotionally?
- Yes. We've won two out of three games, and need to take as many points as we can from the upcoming two fixtures.
