SKA's jersey for the Helsinki Ice Challenge

SKA Hockey Club present the team's alternative jersey which is to be used for the 2017 Helsinki Ice Challenge against HC Jokerit. The match is scheduled for December 2, becoming the first outdoor KHL fixture. Stands seating up to 18,000 fans will be constructed for this match.

The jersey design includes a base colour of white with light green features. SKA's familiar star is in the middle. Two blue and red stripes on the jersey signify SKA's two KHL Gagarin Cup triumphs. The light green is to make the design more modern, while keeping the retro aspect. By creating special jerseys for this match, SKA are supporting the idea of staging a KHL open air match in Helsinki. The Helsinki Ice Challenge will be the league's first outdoor game in history.

Jokerit's outdoor match against SKA is dedicated to the host club's 50th anniversary, Finland's 100 years of indepenence, and the KHL's 10th season. On December 1, a legends match will also take place at Kaisaniemi Park.
