Andrei Kuzmenko: "We started the game well by scoring twice"

HC SKA forward Andrei Kuzmenko:

- We started the game well by scoring two goals, we were solid both in defence and attack. Unfortunately, we made mistakes and took penalties during the third period, we should have been more organised. It's good that we saw the match out.

- Did Dinamo Riga improve greatly in the third period?

- Probably, having taken the match in Saint Petersburg in account, we decided to play in defence. When you play like that, problems begin to appear. Riga had plenty of chances alongside their goal. Magnus Hellberg helped us out with his saves, he didn't allow the opponents to turn the game around.

- You did well with Yakov Trenin today.

- Yakov is a good forward. I want to wish him luck in the NHL, I hope that he will be able to play like this when competing in North America. He'll do well.

- Before you scored, it looked as though that particular powerplay wasn't going too well for SKA.

- Dinamo Riga didn't defend very well shorthanded, but the game was messy and we couldn't keep in their zone. I had space to shoot after receiving a pass from Danila Galenyuk. Joonas Kemppainen did well to block the goalkeeper's view, and my attempt flew into the net.
