Andrei Kuzmenko: "We want to win for the supporters"

13 March 2019

- Did this match go as expected?

- Yes, Lokomotiv have a good team. We expected that the match would be decided by just the one goal. Both sides didn't have that many opportunities, so the score is only 1:0. Nevertheless, it was a good game. I think the series will be like this all the way through, so we have to use the chances which come our way.

- What happened in the first two powerplay opportunities?

- Lokomotiv played great and didn't give us a chance. They had probably studied how we compete on special teams. The coaches later gave us advice and we eventually managed to score.

- All of David Rundblad's three goals in the competition have been winning ones.

- He's doing a great job.

- The visiting team seemed more threatening in the opening frame.

- They moved well. In the opening stages, they had more clear opportunities than us. We need to start better because they had three or four chances to score. Thank you to our goalkeeper for saving us.

- There are only two days until the next match.

- We have energy, everything's fine. This is the playoffs, even when you're tired, energy appears. 12 thousand supporters come to every match and we want to win for them.

- What did the coaches say ahead of the third period?

- They asked us to play aggressively. Overall, I think we played like in the first two periods, but maybe Lokomotiv became a bit tired.
