Alexei Melnichuk is the best KHL goalkeeper of the week

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has revealed the best players of the past week.

Alexei Melnichuk of SKA has been named the best goalkeeper. In three matches, the 21-year-old has tallied two wins, not conceding a single goal in any of those games. His shutout against HC Sochi was his maiden clean sheet in the KHL. At the moment, his shutout streak stands at 137 minutes and 47 seconds.

HC Vityaz Podolsk representative Jakub Jerabek is the top defenseman, Alexei Syomin of the same club is the best forward and Artyom Galimov from Ak Bars Kazan has been named the best KHL rookie.
