Alexander Dergachyov: "My goal was lucky, but I am happy"

- What emotions do you have after the match?
- Positive ones. I'm very happy to have scored my first goal, although I did imagine it to come about in a different style. We got lucky today, and if I'm honest I have never gotten so lucky in my career.
- Talk us through the goal.
- Alexei Ponikarovsky dumped the puck in, and the goaltender came out to sweep it clear. Following the coaches plan I skated onto the crease not stopping, and luck was on my side. It was an empty net.
- Have the players congratulated you?
- Yes, and they joked a bit about the goal.
- Admiral played well for large spells of the game.
- Yes, Admiral are a good side. The outcome wasn't clear for half of the match. We managed to turn things around though and play our hockey.
- You can say that your goal was the key one.
- Any other player could have scored that goal. It's nice to score in such a tough game.
- Will you mark this event in Saint Petersburg with some sort of celebration?
- No, what is there to celebrate? I'm happy of course, but there's no need to celebrate it in a special way.
