Alexander Barabanov: "Any incident can escalate into a fight"

Alexander Barabanov: "Any incident can escalate into a fight"

28 March 2017

- How did you manage to score such a beautiful goal?

- If I am honest, I can't even remember. Ilya Kovalchuk did a great job skating to the crease, allowing my shot to go in.

- Did you try and copy Sergei Plotnikov's goal?

- I watched how he beat Lokomotiv's team in game two. It's good that I scored.

- Why were there so many fights?

- Both teams are nervous. Any small incident can escalate into a mass brawl.

- Did you want to fight?

- Yes. However, Staffan Kronwall stepped on me with his skate. My teammates stuck up for me and I am grateful to them for that.

- What happened to Mikko Koskinen?

- I don't want to talk about that.

- Vyacheslav Voynov's wife has given birth to a son.

- I haven't congratulated Vyacheslav yet, but I will.

- How serious is the loss of Pavel Datsyuk?

- As you can see, it's a serious loss. He is a true master.
