Facts of the first match of the season against the Dragons

This marked SKA's 500th away game in the history of the KHL regular season, having tallied 321 wins and 179 defeats across that period. The goal difference is 1621-1133 in SKA's favour.

Brennan Menell (defenseman), Trevor Murphy (defenseman), Markus Phillips (defenseman), Nikolai Goldobin (forward), Rocco Grimaldi (forward), Nikita Dishkovsky (forward), Igor Larionov (forward), Andrei Loktionov (forward) and Vladislav Romanov (forward) all made their maiden competitive appearances for the senior SKA team. Overall, 305 (30 goalkeepers, 93 defensemen, 182 forwards) have now represented SKA in the KHL.

Furthermore, with Goldobin, Grimaldi, Murphy, Phillips, Larionov and Loktionov all registering points, this marked the maiden occasion when as many as six SKA players gained a minimum of one point on their KHL debut for our team.

Forward Mikhail Vorobyov has scored 50 goals across 255 SKA matches.

Goldobin became the 24th SKA player in the KHL to score on his debut, quickly followed by Grimaldi (25th).

Fellow forward Sergei Plotnikov made his 50th appearance for SKA as the team captain. He is consequently the 10th SKA player to compete in a minimum of 50 games as our captain.
