SKA have scored 3800 goals in 1163 KHL matches. 3202 of them were tallied in 955 regular season games, with the remaining 598 having been registered across 208 Gagarin Cup playoff fixtures.

Before this match, SKA’s last home defeat against Sochi had been suffered on 11 October 2017 (2:3 OT). Interestingly, current Sochi head coach Sergei Zubov had also been in charge of the southern club on that particular day.

Forward Marat Khairullin netted his 50th goal for SKA in the KHL regular season. He is the 15th player to score a minimum of 50 goals in the regular season for our club. Nonetheless, if we also take the playoffs into account, then Khairullin has recorded 62 SKA goals to date.

Yegor Zavragin became the second SKA goalkeeper to play both against and then subsequently for our club during one KHL regular season, following in the footsteps of Vladislav Podyapolsky. On 19 September, the 19-year-old had taken to the ice for Sochi against SKA (4:7).

Forward Timur Khafizov is the first Sochi player to gain 10 (7+3) points against SKA in the KHL.
