SKA will participate in the Cup of the First

SKA Hockey Club will be one of the maiden participants of the Cup of the First.

The competition, which forms a part of the KHL regular season, will be contested by the league’s oldest clubs. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russian ice hockey.

Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, CSKA Moscow, Dynamo Moscow, Spartak Moscow and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod will also compete in the tournament.

The first two home and away games between clubs involved in the competition during the 2026/2027 regular season will count towards the standings. Overall, 30 games will be staged in the tournament.

It will reach its crescendo on 22 December, the day when Russian ice hockey celebrates its 80th anniversary. SKA will face Torpedo on that particular day.

All teams will sport special jerseys when participating in matches which go towards the Cup of the First table.
