Facts of SKA’s emphatic home triumph over Barys

His second goal marked Sergei Plotnikov’s 100th as a SKA player! It took the forward 368 matches to reach this landmark.

65 have been scored at equal strength, 34 on the powerplay and 2 shorthanded. 58 were tallied at home, with the remaining 43 having been netted on the road. Overall, Sergei has found the net against 25 different opponents while representing SKA.

Plotnikov is indeed only the third SKA player in the KHL to score a minimum of 100 goals, following in the footsteps of fellow forwards Nikita Gusev (121) and Ilya Kovalchuk (161).

It’s worth noting that at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 27 days, Plotnikov became the oldest player to score a hat-trick for SKA!

Defenseman Brennan Menell made his 50th competitive SKA appearance. So far, he has recorded 15 (8+7) points.

Fellow defenseman Yegor Savikov now boasts 21 (5+16) points in the current regular season, a personal best in the KHL.

This marked the maiden occasion when forward Nikolai Goldobin dished out four assists in one single game for SKA. However, his personal best is five assists while for Spartak Moscow against incidentally Barys Astana on 21 September 2023 (6:3).

Goalkeeper Artemiy Pleshkov kept a clean sheet in both of his two matches against Barys this season!
