Facts of SKA’s well-needed shootout win against Dinamo

SKA have now achieved 400 wins across 628 KHL away matches. 335 of them have been earned in the regular season, with the remaining 65 coming in the Gagarin Cup playoffs. No other club has yet registered a minimum of 400 league victories.
This marked the maiden occasion when SKA defeated Dinamo Minsk in a penalty shootout.
Forward Valentin Zykov scored SKA’s 100th away goal against these particular opponents. Dinamo Minsk consequently became the sixth KHL club to concede a minimum of 100 goals against SKA at home, following in the footsteps of Moscow-based organisations Dynamo, Spartak, CSKA, Vityaz Moscow Region and Severstal Cherepovets.
Defenseman Markus Phillips has tallied nine (2+7) points from 50 competitive SKA appearances to date.
Sergei Ivanov emerged victorious in a shootout with SKA for the first time. As a consequence of this, he is the 20th goalkeeper to gain at least one shootout win for our team in the championship.
Forward Rocco Grimaldi is the first American to score a winning penalty shot for SKA in a shootout.
