22 April 2016

Exactly 45 years ago, SKA won their first ever bronze medal of the USSR championship!

It all came down to the 38th round of the championship, with SKA met closest rivals HC Spartak Moscow in the deciding match. It was a highly dramatic encounter, and Sergei Solodukhin netted the winning goal with just eleven seconds remaining! The 4:3 victory meant that SKA held a four point advantage over their Moscow opponents, and that was enough to seal a maiden bronze medal for the club.
