Facts of SKA's narrow loss at Avtomobilist

This is the fifth occasion in KHL history when SKA have conceded five defeats on the spin. Interestingly, SKA have now suffered a minimum of five consecutive losses in the last three league seasons in a row.

Never before had SKA lost to Avtomobilist in overtime on the road in the KHL regular season. However, in the 2023/2024 Gagarin Cup playoffs, SKA had lost in OT to these opponents in Yekaterinburg.

Forward Mikhail Vorobyov dished out his 100th assist for SKA. It took him 267 games to reach this landmark. Overall, Mikhail is the 11th KHL player to make a minimum of 100 assists for one team. 87 of his SKA assists have been registered in the regular season, with the remaining 13 having been picked up in the playoffs.

For the first time in the KHL, goalkeeper Artemiy Pleshkov faced a penalty shot during regulation. 21 different SKA goaltenders have now had a penalty shot taken against them in regulation time of a KHL match.
